How'd We Get Here?

So, I walk into Gabe's room last night to say goodnight.  He and Chris have just finished reading a few chapters from "The Tale of Despereaux" and I catch him with his light on and the book open and a guilty look on his face.  I ask him what he's doing and he says that he just wanted to see what happens in the next few chapters.  I love it.  

He's been reading for a little while now and of course he has a lot to learn but to sit there and mostly comprehend what he's reading in a small chapter book is so cool.  He spends a lot of his time now with a book open, whether it's his comic books, Star Wars books, anything that peaks his interest.  It's especially heart-warming when you actually catch him reading a book to Charlotte and she's paying attention to him.
